[推荐] What is regression testing? The objective of regression testing is to ensure the software remains intact. A baseline set of data and scripts is maintained and executed to verify changes introduced during the release have not "undone" any previous code. Expected results from the baseline are compared to results of the software under test. All discrepancies are highlighted and accounted for, before testing proceeds to the next level.

what the most important thing on regression test is to make sure every module to work appropriately in according to the user brochure or other things like that. Tester should pay much more attention on some modules which have been changed compared to last version.It will be more efficient work style if you adopt automatic tool properly to fulfil this objective.

Sometime, you will find the unchanged module is impacted by the changes. Identify the regression scope is quite important. It's better to regression all at major changes.

if the developer point out the changed module, the regression testing will be easy.
